"I looked over my files and I found that I received a referee's report ten days ago, which unfortunately does not recommend acceptance. The paper is considered as very strong but too technical, so should presumably be submitted in a more specialized journal."

"Positselski’s paper provides a point of view on matrix factorizations and (relative) singularity categories via sheaves of curved differential-graded algebras and their various associated derived categories. This viewpoint allows Positselski to apply his formidable machinery to these categories, recovering several known results and to give a detailed analysis of pushforwards and pullbacks between singularity categories. Non-affine matrix factorizations and singularity categories are currently a very active research topic and it seems likely that this new point of view should prove fruitful.

Evaluation: This paper is certainly a very strong one and deserves publication in a very good journal. The only objection for having it published in a top journal is the fact that it will most likely attract only a small number of readers, due to the amount of sophisticated machinery whch is used. For that reason I cannot recommend the publication in the Publ. Math. IHES."
