posic- If the free market works so well, why do corporations need government subsidies?
- They do not "need" the subsidies. They want them. Everyone (or almost everyone, nowadays) wishes to be subsidized by the government; why not the corporations? Just as with the individuals: the more they get those subsidies, the more they will "need" them.
