Жду, пока пройдет пятничный дедлайн (полтора часа осталось), чтобы повесить статью в архив и иметь еще время поисправлять ее до вечера понедельника. Интересно, это только мне нравится так использовать выходные в архиве или еще другие любители есть?
I usually submit as soon as possible, before the deadline, and continue correcting the paper. If a corrected version is submitted 2 hours after deadline, it will be marked as version 2 but almost nobody will read version 1.
My desire to publish as soon as possible manifests itself in a different way: I post half-finished papers. The long paper on semi-infinite cohomology was first posted when it was 190 pages long, with a comment that, dear readers, this version contains about all the theory, but all the examples will be added later. Then I updated it every 3 months or so; by now, it is 301 pages long. The paper that I posted just after yesterdays' deadline is an expanded version of my IHES preprint, with two additional sections, and it is still half-finished. I plan to add two appendices to it eventually.
