Россия живет по другому принципу: Disrespect breeds distrust. Distrust breeds insecurity. Insecurity breeds hypercompetence in a way of overcompensation. Treat people with disrespect, and they will hate and fear you and each other (and for a good reason, too). That will motivate some of them to become outstanding professionals in an attempt to overpower their enemies (viz., basically, everyone else).
