I would say: Every projective module is flat. Is any projective module flat?

Any reasonable person would agree that in almost any statement, the word "any" means "every".

In statements, "any" means "every", but in questions, it doesn't. And how should I ask whether it is true that every projective module is flat? "Is every projective module flat?" "Are all projective modules flat?"

At some point I was told by a native American speaker that it is better to say "every" than "all".
