Thus the present-day people, eagerly and enthusiastically enslaving themselves and each other to the State in their worship of the idols of Pure Reason and Science, Equality and Security, will lose any nontrivial knowledge they may have inherited before even they lose their material standards of living.
Technical progress and entrepreneurship are still rather alive, even if not feeling very well. But science is half-dead and dying fast. It will not last long if it goes on like that. Mathematics is following in the footsteps. The worshipers of Science are murdering the very thing they are idolizing. Social sciences and humanities are mostly decomposing corpses already, poisoning the environment with the byproducts of their decay.
Slowing down the decline is both not very possible and not very helpful, in the long term. That's one reason why I'd personally prefer any inevitable crises to happen sooner rather than later.

Напримѣръ, будетъ ли еще въ какомъ-то видѣ сохраняться возможность свободы въ США. На Европу какъ-то мало надѣжды, тутъ все уже умерло. Согласно послѣднимъ опросамъ "общественнаго мнѣнiя" среди нѣмцевъ, изъ всѣхъ проблемъ больше всего ихъ безпокоитъ не безконтрольная иммиграцiя, не скатыванiе Германiи въ бѣдность и преступность, не огромныя выплаты изъ бюджета Германiи въ счетъ "спасенiя европейской солидарности", и даже не Уханьскiй коронавирусъ, а... внѣшняя политика Трампа.
