"When I turned 20, I had 1 journal article, 1 paper, accepted by a journal, and 2 potentially publishable ( = eventually published) manuscripts.
When I turned 25, I had 4 journal articles, 1 accepted paper, 1 preprint, and 1 manuscript.
When I turned 30, I had 5 journal articles, 1 conference talk theses, 3 preprints, and 3 manuscripts.
When I turned 35, I had 1 monograph, 7 journal articles, 1 conference talk theses, 2 preprints, and 2 manuscripts.
Now that I am 40, I have 3 monographs, 11 journal articles, 1 conference talk theses, and 6 preprints. Which makes the total of 21--not a bad number!"
When I turned 45, I had 3 monographs, 19 journal articles, 1 conference talk theses, and 17 preprints.
Now I am 50, I have 5 monographs, 47 journal articles, 1 conference talk theses, and 16 preprints. Which makes the total of 69.
