My paper about matrix factorizations and singularity categories is rejected as very strong, but containing too much of a sophisticated machinery. Well, as usual. Big things take time, big change takes time. Not all my decisions could be implemented immediately after I had arrived at them. For many years after those blog entries, I still occasionally, rarely but sometimes, submitted some of my papers to rather prestigious journals. Perhaps sometimes, very-very rarely, some exceptions may be still made in the future. But the turn of the direction was decided upon twelve years ago, and it is gradually being implemented. The main thing is not where I actually submit. The main thing is what my research aims at, what my papers are being designed for. They are not written with the intent to satisfy the preferences of prestigious editorial boards.
